A useful request can include a small number of boundaries. These are instructions that protect the parts of the task that matter, such as keeping supplied facts unchanged or preparing a draft for your review.
Describe a limited task
Use a harmless example: rewrite a practice enquiry so it is easier to read. Ask for a short result and provide only the information the task needs. Avoid including real contact details when they add nothing to the exercise.
Name what must stay unchanged
Ask the tool not to invent prices, dates or promises. If you provide a short list of facts, tell it to keep those facts. Review the output anyway; a boundary in the prompt does not guarantee perfect compliance.
Read as the recipient would
Check the message for tone, accuracy and unintended commitments. Request a revision if it suggests something you did not agree to. A generated draft should remain a draft until you choose to use it.
Try this yourself
Ask for a clearer version of an invented course enquiry, with no added facts and no promise to book.
Check your understanding
Did the response keep those boundaries? Compare it with your original before using it.
